Four-year-old child murdered in Kitagwenda district

The Police in Kitagwenda District have arrested AMARAKUTUNGA LEVI, a musician and male councilor representing persons with disabilities, for allegedly murdering a 4-year-old child from Nyaruhanda Village in a suspected ritual sacrifice.

The child went missing on March 16, 2025, after being sent to a neighbor’s house, and the body was discovered the next morning in a bush.

The police investigation involved the K-9 unit, which tracked a scent leading to Levi’s home, approximately 300 meters from the crime scene. A suspected panga with bloodstains was also recovered about 200 meters from the body. Further search at the suspect’s home yielded incriminating evidence, including a bucket filled with water containing clothes and blood and blood stains on the wall of one of the rooms.
