“PRESS RELEASE:
Following Council for Abavandimwe’s Public endorsement of President Museveni as its Presidential candidate for the 2026 General elections, our members turned up in large numbers to escort President Museveni on his nomination as Presidential candidate and to attend the rally at Kololo.
We are happy that today (24th/09/2025) at an event to inaugurate the head offices of Patriotism clubs of Uganda, we had the opportunity to show our appreciation to President Museveni, by donating to him a special portrait.
President Museveni deserves our utmost gratitude for finding a lasting solution to the victimisation and suffering of our people which had gone on for too long, by issuing an Executive Order. As Council for Abavandimwe, we testify that, our people are being issued national ID’s and passports, and for that, we have resolved to vote and campaign for President Museveni, and I call upon all our members spread across the country, to get involved in all campaign activities for President Museveni and to overwhelmingly vote for Museveni and to ensure he gets 81%. Long live Museveni!”

Voting for the president of Uganda will occur in January 2026, with eight candidates competing for the highest office.
