The Magpies won their first domestic competition since the 1955 FA Cup 70 years ago.
Eddie Howe becomes the first English manager to win a domestic trophy since Harry Redknapp in 2008. It is also the first time in a decade that the League Cup has been won by a team other than Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Newcastle previously lost to Manchester United in the 2023 Carabao Cup final, Newcastle were determined and dominant throughout this game. Liverpool now have just the Premier League title to play for this season (2024/2025)
