Exciting news: Victoria University has reached yet another significant milestone!

Exciting news has emerged from one of Uganda’s foremost educational institutions! As of May 6th, 2025, Victoria University, a prominent institution in Uganda, was granted authorization by the Law Council to offer Law programs. 
This significant development represents a crucial advancement in the education of future legal professionals, highlighting the University’s commitment to a practical, technology-driven pedagogy.
This accreditation represents a bold step forward in shaping the next generation of legal professionals, with a focus on a practical and technology-driven curriculum that prepares students for the evolving landscape of law.
In a heartfelt message on his personal X (formerly Twitter) account, the Vice Chancellor of Victoria University, Dr. Lawrence Muganga, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are overjoyed and deeply grateful to the Law Council for officially recognizing Victoria University as an accredited higher education institution authorized to teach Law in Uganda. This milestone fills us with pride and excitement as we continue our journey of excellence. Thank you, Law Council.”
Notably, Victoria University is the sole institution in Uganda providing complimentary courses in Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Other universities offering Law programs include Makerere University, Kampala International University, and Ndejje University, among others.
