Teenage Girl Murdered After Dance Party, Body Dumped in Garden

Police in Budaka district is hunting for two people to help them with investigations into the death of a 18 year old girl last night.

The lifeless body of Sylvia Nakirya,  a resident of Namajja  village in Naboa town council was this morning discovered dumped in a cassava garden by locals.

ASP Immaculate Alaso the Bukedi north region police spokesperson confirming the murder incident said the suspects are on the run but she declined to divulge their details as that would jeopardize the investigations.

She said the two were seen with the deceased last night during the dance party at the home of Mr. George Kamba adding that the documents of evidential value were recovered at the scene of crime.

It’s reported that the deceased left home without informing anyone for a dance party at the neighborhood but never returned, until her half naked body was discovered by residents this morning.

Alaso called on the public to be vigilant, observe the curfew provisions and avoid moving alone, at night.

Mr. George Magunda the Resident District Commissioner appealed to parents to be vigilant with the peers of their children and other wrong doers who want to exploit the forthcoming festivities to commit evil.

Sylvia’s murder comes barely 5 days when the lifeless body of a 64 year old woman I identified as Florance Naudo who was reported to have disappeared after attending a burial of her co-wife in the neighborhood was found floating on river Manafwa in Buyemba A village Lyama sub county.

By press time Sylvia’s body had already been taken to Mbale regional referral hospital for postmortem examinations.
