Written by on January 11, 2022

After almost two years of COVID-19 lockdowns, schools have reopened.

At Kampala International School Uganda, pupils turned up in big numbers – they surely missed school. The pupils were visibly full of vigour; while others  were catching up with friends.

KISU  currently accommodates about 400 students representing 46 nationalities. State-of-the-art facilities include four science labs, three computer labs, three music rooms, three performance areas, an indoor sports hall, outdoor basketball court, 25 metre eight lane competition swimming pool, two libraries, smart boards in most classrooms and a five acre playing field.

From the school gate to the compound and the classrooms, standard operating procedures (SOPs) were being observed.

While schools were closed, there have been some lessons via online,  radio, TV, and newspapers and some schools have provided physical learning materials to some of their students.
