20-year Old Girl Found Dead Along Roadside in Mbale

Police are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 20- year old girl in Doko- Nsambya cell in Mbale’s Industrial City Division.
The Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, Rogers Taitika, says the deceased’s lifeless body was found lying by the roadside along Mbale-Tirinyi highway near Mbale Industrial park with injuries on the neck.
He says that the deceased had a loose neck an indication that she could have been strangled to death. The police are yet to establish the deceased’s identity. According to Taitika, no arrest has been made in connection to the matter.
He says a team of detectives and scene of crime officers visited the scene to gather some evidence. The deceased’s body is lying at Mbale City mortuary pending post-mortem.
